Career Technical Education (CTE) Engineering & Maker Space Modernization
The Aptos High School CTE Engineering & Maker Space Modernization transforms an existing automotive shop into a vibrant hub for engineering education, hands-on fabrication, and collaborative learning.
The project reimagines the existing facility to support modern Career Technical Education programming, creating a flexible setting for instruction, experimentation, prototyping, and maker-based activities.
Designed to foster innovation and technical exploration, the new facility supports a variety of student activities ranging from lecture-based learning to design-build projects and maker-centered work. The adaptive reuse of the existing building provides an efficient and sustainable approach while delivering a renewed identity for the campus’ evolving academic programs.
