Parking Lot Expansion
The work on the parking lot expansion project focused on enhancing the functionality, accessibility, and safety of the existing parking area. The project involved site grading and the re-paving of the parking lot to improve the surface and create a more durable and efficient space.
An expanded parking layout was designed, incorporating new asphalt concrete paving to accommodate additional vehicles. Re-striping was planned to define vehicular circulation, creating 20 parking stalls, including accessible spaces, and ensuring a clear, ADA-compliant path of travel.
The project also addressed the site's drainage system, ensuring proper runoff management while incorporating sustainable landscape solutions. A new pedestrian gate was added for improved access, and ramp landings at the portable were reworked to meet ADA compliance standards. Additionally, a new water bottle refilling station was installed to promote sustainability and convenience for the school community. Through thoughtful design and attention to detail, the overall functionality, accessibility, and safety of the parking lot were successfully improved.
