Pajaro Middle School
School Perimeter Fence and Gate Improvements
The perimeter fence and gate improvements project aimed to significantly enhance the security, safety, and functionality of the school campus.
A new 7’-0” high ornamental fence was installed along Fremont Street and the western boundary of the campus, which faces the railroad tracks. This not only provides a stronger physical barrier to protect students and staff but also contributes to the overall aesthetic of the school grounds. The project included the careful placement of two pedestrian gates and a service access gate at designated points, allowing for controlled access while maintaining security.
In addition to the fence and gates, the project also explored the addition of retaining walls in specific areas of the campus to mitigate potential flooding, ensuring that the school’s infrastructure remains safe and functional during adverse weather conditions. The retaining walls were designed to prevent water damage and maintain the integrity of the campus. The overall improvements focused on both enhancing the safety of the campus environment and addressing environmental concerns, ensuring a more secure, accessible, and resilient space for students, staff, and the broader school community.
